Meet The Team

Sifu Azan holds a Red Sash - Master Level 1 in our Wing Chun club. He has experience in martial arts for over 13 years. Sifu Azan has experience and completed courses in Aikido, Chinese Kickboxing (Sanda), Applied Escrima, and also holds a 5th Kyu in Kendo. He was also the Team Captain of the University of Tasmania Kendo Club for the year 2017.

Sifu Azan is Australian-trained in Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu under the tutorship of the Global Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Association. He has been since teaching Wing Chun in Maldives for six years. He has conducted self-defense seminars and personalized training for individuals.

 

Sifu Azan is a hard-working trainer committed to develop young people through martial arts. The most notable feature of Sifu Azan is his expertise dealing with individuals of mental health issues. He has used his professional experience and knowledge to help young adults with mental health issues to improve their mental health through his Wing Chun training. He is looked upon by his students as a motivational figure to become better versions of themselves.

Sifu Azan holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine and Antarctic Science with majors in Zoology, Marine and Antarctic ecosystems, graduated from University of Tasmania, Australia. He also has a Masters in Martial Arts Studies with First Class Honors graduated from Horizons University, France. He is professionally a Climate Change Environment Analyst and a Climate Negotiator of the Maldives National Delegation working at the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy.

A tech enthusiast and a gamer by hobby, Sifu Azan has a friendly personality and carry a sense of humor with a very open mind. He is an approachable person with any issues students have and helps them in progressive conversations to ensure students stay comfortable.

Meet Si Hing Mohamed Rajih, a seasoned martial artist with Black Sash - Level 8 in Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu with a rich 5-year background in Wing Chun. He is currently one of two originally certified Maldivians to hold a Black Sash in Wing Chun in Maldives.

Si-Hing Rajih is a closed-door student of Sifu Azan currently in training at our Wing Chun Kung Fu club. He is also an Assistant Instructor for the Wing Chun Kung Fu club, having completed his instructor training at the Association for Martial Athletes of Maldives. Under the guidance of our Sifu, Si-Hing Rajih has not only honed his skills but has also dedicated the past two years to imparting his knowledge as an Assistant Instructor, actively shaping the next generation of Wing Chun practitioners.

What sets Si-Hing Rajih apart is his unwavering commitment to his craft. His training philosophy goes beyond physical techniques, placing a strong emphasis on mental resilience, practical applications in real-life scenarios, and the holistic development of his students and fostering self-discipline. What places him high on the bar is his expertise dealing with individuals with special attention. He has experience training young people with autism that has made a change in their lives.

Academically, Si-Hing Rajih holds a UWE Masters in Business Administration from Villa College, affiliated with the University of West England. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer accredited by the International Sports Science Academy.

​

Beyond the world of martial arts, Rajih is a literature enthusiast. His friendly demeanor, coupled with a wicked sense of humor, creates an inclusive training environment where he actively supports and guides all students on their journey to becoming proficient fighters and enhanced versions of themselves.

Si-Hing Aiman has been in the world of martial arts for 14 years. He holds a Brown Belt in Shotokan Karate having studied the art for 8 years, a Green Belt in Taekwondo having studied the art for 6 years, and Advanced Wushu certification (in Taolu and Sanda) having studied the art since he began his martial arts journey.

Si-Hing Aiman is an active student and continuing to train in Shaolin Kung Fu under Sifu Zak Song of the Master Song Shaolin Kung Fu Wushu organization. Si-Hing Aiman has experience teaching Wushu to adults and children through regular training classes and various training programs. He has also demonstrated Kung Fu in public events to showcase his hard-earned skills.

 

Si-Hing Aiman is determined to strengthen his Kung Fu skills as well as to train young people and adults to develop their health and mental strength through Shaolin Kung Fu. He is a very approachable trainer with softness and humility. With a sharp mind and his own personal experience, he gears the focus of his students towards building endurance, strength, balance, flexibility, speed, coordination, and agility. Above all his priority is for students to train with discipline.

Si-Hing Aiman is currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Maldives. He is professionally an Imaam and a Human Resources Supervisor working in a resort in Northern Maldives.

​

In his free time he engages in small business work to make extra income. His love for Islam is demonstrated by his participation and engagement in short-term islamic programs and courses such as Hijama (cupping) therapy.
