What is the duration of your training program?

We do not have a set duration. Our training program include regularly scheduled weekly training classes.

Is there a minimum age requirement to join?

For kids classes we take ages from 5 to 12.

For teenagers and adults we take ages from 13 and above.

Where are your training classes held?

We have Wing Chun night classes for teenagers and adults in Hulhumale'. Please click on "Classes" page for details.

Do I need to have previous knowledge in self-defense?

No you do not need it. We treat all beginner students with care, safety, and proper guidance during training.

Do you have separate Male and Female instructors/students?

At the moment we do not have separate female instructors as we have lacked capacity in building female students up to instructor level. However, we do have female students actively training with us.

How safe are your training classes?

Our organization is government-certified to teach martial arts, with our instructors having completed proper instructor training and working with children. Our instructors ensure the highest standards of discipline, safety, and fairness to all students regardless of age, gender, and where the students come from. Our classes are professionally supervised by qualified martial arts instructors. While some of our activities require partner training, all activities are controlled and conducted in a supervised and safe environment. However, it is ‘martial art’ training and not ‘dancing’. Students can choose to train as hard of as soft as they like with a complying training partner.

Will training in Wing Chun help me to lose weight?

Yes, our Wing Chun Kung Fu training is a whole body and conditioning exercise program utilizing ancient Eastern training methodologies with Western sports science. It is a low to moderately intense program and with regular participation can assist in improving and maintaining weight loss as well as improving your aerobic and anaerobic fitness.

Do I need to be fit and flexible before undertaking the Wing Chun training program?

No, our training program and curriculum is tailor made for each new member to progress at a comfortable pace and to enjoy the benefits uniquely associated with our Wing Chun curriculum.
